I took this picture. It’s been at Sighthill/Springburn (next to the old St Rollox train works/Tesco) for YEARS.
What it means, I’m not quite sure. But I did know a goth who lived in Sighthill flats around 10 years ago, who the local neds chased around the streets, (probably) Benny Hill-style. He used to talk about the Them And Us battles quite often.
He was known for proudly walking around Sighthill in PVC dresses/black lipstick and fetish wear. Doesn’t bother me, but it does some people, as unfortunately, the rougher variety of Weegie isn’t exactly tolerant.
Would be interesting to hear how Goths!!!! got there. Maybe it was a defiant, flagging their territory, thing.
